We've extended the areas we deliver to. We are now delivering to Oxenhope and the nearer parts of Littleborough, and all places on the direct routes to these areas.
What's in the Boxes This Week?
We don’t often highlight the staple items in the boxes but this week we have some Purple Sun carrots - a very sweet, intensely purple variety, full of beta carotene. Next we have some Arran Victory potatoes - these beauties come with deep blue-purple skin that covers a white floury inside. They are super tasty and ideal for roasting, mashing and making chips.
For our fruit boxes we have the Court Pendu Plat apple which is a very old variety, likely dating back to Roman times and known for it’s intense flavour and unique texture. They are usually enjoyed sliced as desert apples and there flavour improves with age (like so many of us!). It would be remiss not to draw attention to blood oranges too - we are in peak European season for them right now and they are juicy, soft and sweet with a sour tang. Last but not least we have Nashi pears for medium boxes, also known as Asian pears or apple-pears. They remain crunchy even when ripe and are delicious in snacks and salads adding a floral, melony note to your latest culinary adventure.
Improved Choice and Flexibility for Orders
We've updated our ordering system to give you more choice and flexibility in how often you receive your groceries. Vegboxes and most individual extras can now be ordered as a one-off, or as a weekly, fortnightly, 3-weekly or 4-weekly recurring subscription. Perfect for when you want an item regularly but every week is just too much! You can also set up multiple recurring orders on different weeks for the same item if you'd like to receive it two weeks in every three, or three weeks in every four. Please note that with fresh seasonal produce even the best laid plans can change - when this happens we may have to swap out items at the last minute and so occasionally box contents may vary from the published list.

Solidarity with Palestine
As a workers' cooperative, our values include solidarity, social responsibility, and support for other coops and ethical businesses. For several years, Valley Organics has stocked a range of Palestinian products, including organic olive oil, dates, and za’atar from Zaytoun, as well as traditional handmade olive wood and pottery from small businesses throughout the occupied West Bank. With the scale of this crisis in Palestine intensifying, Valley Organics has increased its commitment and support for those in this troubled region.
